Notification - Texas Government Code
With few exceptions, you have the right to request and be informed about the information that the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) collects about you. You are entitled to receive and review this information upon request. You also have the right to ask the TJJD to correct any information that is determined to be incorrect. (Reference: Government Code, Sections 552.021, 552.023, and 559.004) Please notify your local HR Administrator if you need to request correction of any information collected by the TJJD.
Important Information
Applicants seeking initial or re-employment with the TJJD must complete the following four documents:(1) the State of Texas Application for Employment; (2) the TJJD Employment Application Supplement; (3) the Child Abuse Registry Check Consent Form; and (4) the Disclosure of PREA Employment Standards Violation form.
Current TJJD employees seeking promotions or transfers must only complete the State of Texas Application for Employment and the Disclosure of PREA Employment Standards Violation form. The TJJD Employment Application Supplement is not required for current TJJD employees. The human resources director or designee will determine when the Child Abuse Registry Check Consent Form is required for current employees.
You may download the State of Texas Application for Employment and the TJJD Employment Application Supplement in two formats: PDF or Word. The PDF format can be used on any computer equipped with Adobe Acrobat Reader* (link below). The Microsoft Word format requires that you have Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 or higher.
